so i was reading about trump wanting to turn greenland into us territory and i'm just like how can they not see that it's gonna mess with the environment and the people living there? 
it's only 60k people!!! they need to be heard and their rights gotta be respected too 
i mean, i get that greenland is strategically located and has resources and all but can't we just find ways to work together without taking control of someone else's land?
like the danish government is trying to do now by exploring resources with american companies under environmental regulations 
it's a good middle ground
but trump seems super set on having control over everything
and that's just scary for me as well as everyone living in greenland 
let's just hope they can find a way to make this work without hurting anyone

It's like, I get that the US needs access to resources and all, but does it have to come at the expense of a small population's rights? 
The environmental impact alone is huge - think about all the ice reserves and rare earth minerals... it's not just about America, it's about the future of our planet! 
I mean, Denmark is like "hey, we're good with you doing your own thing" but Trump's all like "nope, I'm taking over"... not cool, dude! 
I mean, yeah, resources are important and all, but don't they wanna make sure Greenlanders are okay with this too? And by "okay" I mean not just having their land taken without saying please. That's some bad vibes right there... 
Like, what a cop-out? Where's Denmark's pride in its own territory? 
I guess they just wanna avoid any drama. But at the same time, are we really saying that Greenland can't make its own decisions about its own land? That's some pretty weak sauce...
