Wild Card Round non-Eagles rooting guide

Philadelphia Eagles Fans, Here's How You Should Root for Non-Eagles Games This Weekend

In the Wild Card Round of the playoffs, three NFC matchups will determine which teams will face each other in the Divisional Round. The Eagles' potential opponents are the Panthers, Bears, and Rams. While the Packers are an option, they cannot play the 49ers due to seeding.

The ranking of ideal Divisional Round opponents is subjective, but based on past performances, team talent, and playoff experience, it's clear that one matchup stands out above the others: Eagles vs. Panthers in Philadelphia.

A Carolina win would be a gift from the football gods for Eagles fans, as it would set up a favorable matchup against their division rivals. Meanwhile, playing the Rams at home could be difficult due to their impressive talent and record. In contrast, facing the Bears in Chicago might be easier, but the team's youth and inexperience make them less reliable.

If the Packers win on Saturday night, Eagles fans should root for them as well, which would set up a potential showdown with the Rams or Panthers. However, if the Rams emerge victorious, a Bears loss becomes more likely, making it an ideal matchup.

Looking beyond NFC games, attention is focused on AFC matchups, where several teams are vying for spots in the playoffs. The Bills and Patriots seem to be at the top of their respective divisions, but other teams like the Jaguars and Steelers could pose a threat if they make deep runs.

Ultimately, Eagles fans should focus on the outcomes of these games and root for any team that helps them avoid a tough matchup against one of their NFC rivals.

omg what's up with this article? it feels like they're more focused on which teams will get to beat us than on actually having a good chance at winning themselves 🤣 either way i guess its all about playing smart and avoiding the rams if u ask me 🤔

I'm loving this advice! 🤩 Rooting for non-Eagles teams in Wild Card Round matchups is such a great strategy - it's like, if you want to make things easy for yourself in the Divisional Round, right? But, I gotta say, I'm still a little skeptical about the whole "Eagles vs. Panthers" thing... I mean, that would be an amazing game, but what if the Panthers pull off a major upset and ruin all the fun for us Eagles fans? 🤔 Still, it's not like we have much control over our destiny anyway... might as well enjoy the ride! 😂

idk why ppl think eagles vs panthers is the best matchup lol... i mean, it's not like that's gonna be an easy game for us 🤷‍♂️ but still, playing rams at home would be super stressful 🙅‍♂️ and against bears in chicago? idk man, those guys are young and unpredictable 😬. if packers win tho, we gotta root for them too 🤞, that'd set up a rematch with rams or panthers. but u know what tho? whoever we get, as long as it's not the 49ers 🙄, i'm good 😊

Man, I was at this game back in 2018 when Philly played Carolina and we totally smashed 'em! 🏈😎 You think it's gonna happen again? I mean, both teams are strong, but if the Eagles win that one, man... they'll be all set for the Divisional Round. And let's not forget about the Rams - those guys are beasts! But you know what would be even crazier? If the Packers win and the Eagles get to play either them or the Rams in the next round. That'd be a wild card (get it?) 🃏

You think it's just about rooting for any team to get a good draw, but let me tell you, I've been thinking about this too... 🤔 The NFL is all about strategy and control, and if the Eagles want to make a deep run, they need to get lucky with their matchups. But what if they're not getting lucky? What if there's something more going on behind the scenes? Like, have you considered that the teams might be intentionally losing or winning games based on some sort of secret schedule or rotation? It's all about the optics, man... the Packers and Rams seem like strong contenders, but what if they're just being set up to fail? Meanwhile, the Panthers are looking weak right now, so maybe they're the ones who'll rise up and take the Eagles down. I'm telling you, there's more to this NFL thing than meets the eye 😏
