Will corporate America finally stand up to the Trump administration?

I'm still reeling from what's happening in the US right now. It's like, these big corps are supposed to be all about making money and taking care of their employees, but instead they're just sitting there like deer in headlights while people are getting hurt. I mean, Apple's CEO showing up to a White House screening? That's just tone-deaf on steroids. And don't even get me started on the companies that are getting sued by the Trump administration over immigration policy and trade agreements. It's like they think they're above all this.

I remember when my friends used to work at this startup in LA, and we would always talk about corporate responsibility. Like, you know when a company gives back to the community or supports social causes? That's what it's all about, right? But now, it feels like those are just nice-to-haves, not must-haves.

I think what's scaring me is that if corporations don't take a stand against this stuff, who will? The government's not exactly known for its empathy or compassion. And yet, we still expect these CEOs to be all heroic and moral. It's like they're supposed to have some sort of superpower that allows them to solve all our problems. Newsflash: they don't.

I'm just hoping someone comes along and slaps some sense into these guys. Like, a wake-up call or something. Because right now, it feels like we're watching this train wreck in slow motion, and I have no idea how it's going to end.

corporations are literally getting roasted for being too scared to speak out against trump's immigration policies 🤦‍♂️. like what even is the point of having a board of directors if you're just gonna let your CEOs get invited to white house screenings and not say boo about it 🙅‍♂️? it's all about avoiding backlash from the admin, but honestly who wants to be seen as pro-trump anyway? 🤷‍♂️
