Winmau World Masters darts: Luke Humphries delivers nine-dart magic in win over Luke Woodhouse as Luke Littler eases through

Luke Humphries fired off a stunning nine-darter in his dramatic victory over Luke Woodhouse at the Winmau World Masters, clinching a 4-3 win to set up a quarter-final showdown with Danny Noppert. The Englishman's perfect leg wrapped up the second set of an absorbing contest, as Woodhouse battled back from 3-1 down to take their second-round clash to a decider.

Humphries' nerves were evident in the final set, however, as he missed a match dart on D19 and squandered three more darts before securing the win with a 54 checkout and 14-darter. The victory marked Humphries' third nine-darter this year, and will have given him confidence going into his quarter-final meeting with Noppert.

Despite missing several chances to break early in the final set, Luke Littler breezed through his quarter-final clash against Ross Smith with a 4-1 win. The world number one's performance was described as 'unplayable' during the opening sets, and he will now face Josh Rock in Sunday's last eight.

Rock closed out his 4-1 victory over Rob Cross by winning each of the last five legs, while Noppert thrashed Stephen Bunting in straight sets. Van Veen also capitalised on Aspinall's poor finishing to beat him 4-2, setting up a quarter-final showdown with James Wade.

The afternoon session will see Chris Dobey face Gerwyn Price and Luke Littler take on Josh Rock, while the evening session will feature the semi-finals and final.

omg what a game!! 🀯 i was watching the highlights last night and that 9-darter by luke humphries was insane! 😲 how does he do it?! i mean we all know he's been good this year but that level of skill is just mental. anyways, can't wait to see what happens next in the tournament πŸŽ‰

I'm still in shock that Humphries got those nerves after leading 3-1... I mean, come on! A perfect leg is one thing, but you'd think he could handle a match dart πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Still, I guess it shows how intense the competition is - no room for error, right? πŸ˜… The fact that Woodhouse fought so hard to take it to a decider was awesome, though! That kind of grit and determination never fails to impress me πŸ‘Š. Can't wait to see who Humphries takes down next... Noppert better bring his A-game if he wants to dethrone the champ πŸ€”

can't believe luke humphries' nerves got the best of him in that final set lol πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ his 9-darter was insane tho! but at least he still managed to clinch the win πŸ˜…. i think it's awesome how he's having a great year with those three 9-darters already - must be giving him some serious confidence going into the quarter-finals πŸ’ͺ

I'm still buzzing about that crazy World Masters match between Luke Humphries and Luke Woodhouse 🀯! That nine-darter was insane, but also a bit nerve-wracking to watch - I mean, who misses a dart like that? πŸ˜… But seriously, it's great to see the competition heating up, especially with Danny Noppert in the mix. Can't wait to see how Humphries handles his quarter-final against him πŸ€”.

And congrats to Luke Littler on taking down Ross Smith 4-1 - what a performance! 🎯 I'm also excited for Sunday's last eight matches, especially Josh Rock vs Luke Littler and Van Veen vs James Wade πŸ’₯. It's going to be a wild ride in the quarter-finals...

omg did u see that 9-darter by Luke Humphries?! 😱 he was so nervous in the end but still managed to pull it off! i mean, who needs a steady hand when u can go for broke? 🀯 i'm lowkey rooting for him now, especially against Danny Noppert. Luke Littler's win was pretty impressive too tho, that unplayable performance of his was insane! 😲 and what about Josh Rock?! he seems like the dark horse in this tournament, beating Rob Cross 4-1 and all 🀯

just watched that match between Humphries and Woodhouse 🀯 what a mental collapse at the end tho πŸ˜‚ can't believe he missed those darts but still managed to pull off an epic win! three nines this year is insane lol πŸŽΎπŸ‘ hope he stays focused for his quarter-final against Noppert

πŸ€” just watched that darts match and i'm like what is going on at the end?? 🀯 luke humphries seems so nervous he's about to crack under pressure πŸ˜… but then he does this perfect 9-darter and its all good again πŸŽ‰. honestly, it's a bit crazy how he goes from being all calm to being super nervous in like 2 seconds πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ still can't believe he won that match though πŸ‘.

Just watched that crazy game between Humphries and Woodhouse 🀯, what a comeback by Woodhouse! I mean, he was down 3-1 but managed to claw his way back to make it a decider πŸ’ͺ. But Humphries' nerves got the better of him towards the end - missing that match dart on D19? Ouch! 😬 Still, a perfect leg in the second set is no joke, and three nines this year? That's insane 🀯. Now he's gonna be a force to be reckoned with in the quarter finals... can't wait to see how he matches up against Noppert πŸ’₯

OMG, what an epic match between Humphries and Woodhouse 🀯! I was literally on the edge of my seat when he hit that 9-darter πŸ˜‚. And yeah, his nerves showed in the end, but still a win is a win! He's definitely got some serious skills now πŸ€“. I'm curious to see how he'll do against Noppert, though - he seems like a tough opponent πŸ‘Š. Littler's quarter-final match with Rock looks pretty intense too 😬. Fingers crossed for Luke Humphries to keep his winning streak going πŸ’ͺ!

omg u gotta see this!!! 😍 luke humphries just did the impossible and won the winmau world masters πŸ†!! i've been following him for ages and he's always been so underrated but now the whole world knows how good he is 🀩 his 9 darter in the final was insane!!!! i'm literally shaking rn πŸ˜‚ and now he gets to play danny noppert in the quarters whoop whoop πŸ’₯

I'm loving this darts scene right now 🀩 The level of skill is insane! I mean, nine-darters are getting more common and it's so cool to watch these players pull off those incredible finishes πŸ’₯ Like Luke Humphries, he's got that mental toughness to stay focused under pressure even when things aren't going his way. And Luke Littler was a blur out there πŸ˜‚, totally dominating his opponent. The competition is heating up with Danny Noppert and Josh Rock getting ready for their quarter-final clash... can't wait to see who'll come out on top πŸ€”

OMG, who needs Fortnite when you can get a 9-dart in Darts? πŸ˜‚πŸŽ― Luke Humphries is like the gaming master of PDC darts! I mean, three nine-darters this year already? 🀯 That's like getting all A's in school every month. His nerves must be as shaky as my internet connection at 3 AM. Anyway, on to the next match - can Danny Noppert take down Humphries or is he going to get darts-tered? πŸ€”πŸ’₯

I'm loving how intense these darts tournaments are getting! 🀯 I think it's cool that Luke Humphries showed nerves in the final set, it makes his victory all the more satisfying. Like, he could've just phoned it in after being 3-1 up, but nope, he had to dig deep and finish him off with a sick checkout 🎯. And can we talk about how clutch Luke Littler was? I mean, that 'unplayable' performance during the first two sets was insane 😲. It's great to see him getting some big wins early on in the tournament. I'm also hyped for the quarter-finals, Danny Noppert vs Luke Humphries is gonna be a real barnburner πŸ”₯!

i'm still waiting for them to invent a way to make darts more exciting than watching someone throw things at a board for hours πŸ˜’. i mean, nine-darters are just so... repetitive. what's next? a 10-darter? 🀣 and don't even get me started on the commentary - "nerves were evident"... yeah, because that's not how it works with darts at all πŸ˜‚. the only person who seems to be enjoying this is luke humphries' beard πŸ‘. anyway, i guess it's always entertaining to watch these guys try and perfect their craft 🎯

man what an epic win for luke humphries 🀯 he's been playing so well this year but i'm still not sold on his consistency... that 9-darter was insane though and i love how he finished it off with a sick checkout 😲 but yeah, nerves got the better of him towards the end... still, that's three nines for the year which is pretty impressive πŸ™Œ. Luke Littler's quarter-final meeting with Josh Rock is gonna be lit, can't wait to see how they go head-to-head πŸ’₯

Dude, I'm low-key hyped about the PDC tournament 🀯! The win by Humphries was insane, but also kinda nervous - I mean, who doesn't get anxious when you're up 3-1 and then have to hold it together for a nine-darter? πŸ˜… Aspinall's meltdown against Van Veen is, though... what happened?! He's one of the best players in the world, and he just got destroyed by some unknown Dutch guy πŸ€”. Anyways, Luke Littler killing it as usual - that guy's like a darts ninja! πŸ•·οΈ Can't wait for Sunday's last eight to see Rock take on Josh... should be lit πŸ”₯
