Interesting how Heta managed to stay calm under pressure especially when he took that 124 finish in the third set. what's going on at Winmau World Masters? I feel like I've been living under a rock lol. Van Gerwen, the king, got dethroned by Heta in the first round?! That's crazy talk! 88.36 avg is pretty meh for him and those finishing issues are not cool. Damon must have brought his A-game and I'm loving it! Meanwhile, Gian van Veen came from behind to make a comeback and Nathan Aspinall dominated his opponent. Can't wait to see the rest of the tournament unfold

man, this is like what happens when you get complacent right? Michael van Gerwen's 5-year winning streak just got snapped in the worst way possible... he was so used to winning that he started to play like it wasn't a big deal anymore . Damon Heta on the other hand, he played with heart and won the match fair and square . It's like life, you gotta stay humble and keep working if you wanna stay on top . Don't get too comfortable or complacent, or someone will come along and take your spot .

idk man, van gerwen just got smashed by heta i mean, 88.36 avg? that's crazy low for him and he can't even make a double but then again, heta was pretty clutch too, took the third set with a huge finish and sealed it with a checkout... i don't know what to think about this one maybe van gerwen just didn't feel like himself today or something? and gian van veen coming from behind, that's kinda cool i guess but then again, he did say he made it "a little bit difficult for himself" so yeah, not really sure what to make of this win

I'm so surprised that Michael van Gerwen lost so easily ! He's always been one of the best, but I guess even the greats can have an off day. I was watching the match with my friends and we were all like "what is happening to MVG?" . Anyway, it's good to see Gian van Veen and Nathan Aspinall doing well, they're both from my school and it's always awesome to see them succeed in their sports . And Gerwyn Price just destroyed James Hurrell, what a showstopper! I'm still on the edge of my seat waiting for the next round to start .

I'm not buying the hype around these new smart darts boards . I mean, they're just more ways for the pros to make a quick buck off of us fans. The stats are looking suspiciously high – 105+ averages? Come on! That's not human possible . And what's with all the tech integrated into the game? Just seems like an excuse for them to have even more reasons to take risks and lose focus. I'll stick to my old-school darts, thank you very much .
