I gotta say, I'm kinda disappointed in how Mariah Carey's performance got shafted 
. The whole crowd was vibing to her whistle note at first, but then they just kinda... stopped caring? 
It was like they forgot she's a global superstar and one of the best vocalists of all time! 
And don't even get me started on the whole "Kid Rock-esque performances" comment - that guy is hilarious and his music is so underrated! 
I mean, sure, some people might not be fans of Trump (and honestly, who would be? 
), but can't we just appreciate the performance without making assumptions about its politics? 
And what's wrong with a little bit of Italo disco in an Olympic ceremony - it added a fun touch!

I kinda feel like the opening ceremony was all about being safe, you know? Playing it cool with classical names and opera legends. It's like they wanted to appeal to everyone, but in doing so, they might've missed an opportunity to really wow us. That Mariah Carey performance was nice, but it felt a bit rushed and didn't quite live up to the hype 
. And can we talk about how weird the crowd reaction was? I mean, I get that not everyone's gonna love every song, but still...
