The Oscars always make me wanna pull my hair out
! I mean, come on, "No Other Choice" is like a masterpiece or something, but noooo, it gets snubbed. And don't even get me started on "F1" and "Frankenstein"... what's with the whole "visually stunning" thing? Is that really all there is to it? Can't they see that there's so much more depth to those films?
And have you seen Yngvill Kolset Haga and Avy Kaufman's work in "Sentimental Value"? Those casting skills are straight fire
. The Academy should be giving them major props, not snubbing them like that.
At the same time, I can kinda understand why they're doing it. I mean, it's all subjective, right? But seriously, there are so many amazing films out there that deserve recognition. And I'm not just talking about "No Other Choice" or "Sinners"... I'm talking about all of them.
I think the Oscars are a big deal because they represent a chance for us to celebrate our creativity and passion as filmmakers. It's like, we're all in this together, right? So maybe instead of getting all snuffy about the snubs, we should just be stoked that there are so many great films out there to watch and enjoy.
Anyway, if you haven't seen some of these movies yet, you totally need to check them out. "Sinners" is a game-changer
, and Timothée Chalamet in "Marty Supreme"... wow. And those animated shorts? Mind blown
.
