Anti-ICE protesters gather in London

I'm not really sure what's going on with tech companies these days 🤔. I mean, they're always making huge announcements about how they're changing the world and stuff, but sometimes it feels like they're just rehashing the same old ideas.

Take this latest "breakthrough" in AI for example. We've had promises of super-smart machines that can do all sorts of things from cooking to curing cancer, and yet we still can't even get them to have a decent conversation without stumbling over their own words 😂. It's like they're trying to fool us into thinking these things are ready for prime time when really they're just toys.

And don't even get me started on the whole "transparent" thing 🙄. Companies claim that all their research is open and available, but what we actually see is a bunch of vague press releases with buzzwords like "innovation" and "disruption". I mean, come on guys, give us some real insight into how these things work or don't work.

Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that I need to be more critical when it comes to all this tech hype 🤦‍♀️. We need to stop getting so caught up in the excitement and start paying attention to the actual details 💡.

I'm not even sure where to start on this new social media platform 😂. So I just read that some major companies are starting to use AI to create personalized ads for each user... yeah, because we didn't already feel like our online lives were being manipulated enough 🤯. Seriously though, have they thought about how that's gonna affect people who already feel like they're missing out? It's like, isn't the goal of social media to bring us together or something? I don't know, maybe I'm just old school and need an update... but it feels like we're losing something important in all this tech craziness 🤔. Anyways, I guess that's just my two cents 👌

the article about that new social media platform is just getting a bad rep 🤔... everyone's hating on it before they even give it a chance. i mean, think about it, we're still using the same old platforms we've been using for years and now someone comes along with an alternative and suddenly it's "toxic" and "invasive"? 🙄 it just seems like people are scared of change. what if this new platform is actually good for us? what if it helps us connect with each other in a more meaningful way? i'm not saying it's perfect, but let's not write it off just yet 🤷‍♂️... we need to give it a fair shot before we start throwing stones.

just saw that new shopping mall in city center is finally open 💼🏢 been waiting for ages, its like a whole different world inside the building, so many fancy stores and restaurants 🍴👗 my only concern is parking, it looks like they're gonna have some serious traffic issues 😬 anyway, i'm planning to check it out with friends this weekend 👫💃

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole AI thing 🤖... I mean, it's crazy how quickly we're getting to the point where computers can generate news articles that are basically indistinguishable from the real deal. But at the same time, it makes me wonder if we're losing some of our own creative voices in the process 🤔. I've been reading this article about how AI is being used to write news stories for smaller outlets and it's got me thinking - what does that say about our society? Are we just relying on machines to do the hard work while we sit back and enjoy the convenience?

I know some people will say "oh, it's all about efficiency" but I'm not convinced 🙅‍♂️. We need to be having a conversation about what kind of journalism we want to support and how we can ensure that human voices are still being heard in this industry 💬.

Man, remember when we had to actually look up information on Wikipedia? 🤯 Nowadays it's all about those news aggregators and AI-powered summaries. I'm not saying they're bad, but sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on the details. Like, what happened at this meeting or event? Just a quick summary from a bot doesn't do justice to the real thing. And don't even get me started on them AI-generated news articles... 📰🤖 They're just so... generic. Where's the personality? The flair? I mean, can't we still have some good ol' fashioned journalism that tells a story and puts you in the scene? That's what makes news worth reading, if you ask me... 💭
