Bears promote LT Braxton Jones from injured reserve

Chicago Bears Promote Braxton Jones to Active Roster, Sign Linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin

The Chicago Bears have made a pair of moves on their injury report, promoting left tackle Braxton Jones from injured reserve and signing linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin.

Jones suffered a knee injury in Week 7, causing him to be placed on IR, but now he's set to back up Theo Benedet, who stepped in for the injured Ozzy Trapilo during their last game against the Packers.

Meanwhile, Reeves-Maybin, a linebacker who was with the Bears' practice squad before their first-round playoff game, has been signed to active roster. He played only eight defensive snaps in that game but may now see more playing time after being promoted.

However, his signing comes at a cost as the Bears have had to remove linebacker Nephi Sewell from their practice squad. Sewell's brothers Noah and Penei are with the Saints and Lions respectively.

The moves come amid an intense playoff run for both teams. While the 49ers seem more formidable on paper, the Rams' scoring prowess presents a threat that the Bears' defense has struggled to address.

I'm lovin' this! The Bears finally doin' somethin' right! Promotin' Braxton Jones and sign-in' Jalen Reeves-Maybin is like a breath of fresh air, ya know? I mean, who needs all that drama when you got talented players waitin' in the wings? And bruh, Sewell's brothers playin' for them Saints and Lions? That's some crazy sibling rivalry right there! πŸ˜‚ But seriously, with Reeves-Maybin on board, maybe they can finally get that defense goin'. The 49ers might be lookin' fierce, but I got faith in the Bears. They'll figure it out, and we'll see some wild card magic happen! 🀯

I'm thinking... they gotta sort out their O-line issue first πŸ€”. Braxton Jones was on IR, but now he's back and that's a big plus for them. But they also lost Nephi Sewell, who had some decent performances this season. I feel like Jalen Reeves-Maybin might be an upgrade at linebacker, tho πŸ‘. The Rams are looking scary, but the Bears' defense can do better 🚫. They need to find that consistency on both sides of the ball if they wanna take down the 49ers and make a deep run in the playoffs πŸ”₯

Man I'm watching this Chicago Bears season and it's like dΓ©jΓ  vu all over again! They're making moves like they did last year when they promoted Braxton Jones from IR and he ended up being a key player for them. Now they've signed Jalen Reeves-Maybin, which is kinda like what they did with that linebacker guy last season... you know, the one who surprised everyone with his skills? πŸ€”

But seriously, these moves are all about injury management at this point, and I'm hoping it pays off because their defense needs a boost. Those 49ers look tough, but so do the Rams, you know? It's gonna be a wild ride! πŸ˜… The thing is, I remember when the Bears had that great defense back in the day, and now they're trying to put together something special... it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. πŸ‘€

OMG 🀩, can't believe the Chicago Bears are makin' these moves! Braxton Jones is back and he's ready to rock πŸ’ͺ🏽! I'm hyped for him to backup Theo Benedet, hopefully they'll get that O-line groove goin' again πŸ“ˆ.

And Jalen Reeves-Maybin comin' in at linebacker? πŸ”₯ That's some good news for the Bears. Only 8 defensive snaps in his last game, but now he's got a chance to shine πŸ’«. Can't say I'm too bummed about Nephi Sewell gettin' cut from the practice squad tho πŸ˜”.

But let's be real, these moves are all about the playoffs πŸ†. The Rams' offense is straight fire πŸ”₯ and the Bears need all the help they can get to take 'em down πŸ’ͺ. Bring it on! πŸ‘Š

idk why they're making all these changes at this time πŸ€” i think they should just stick with what they've got lol... braxton jones is a solid backup but they don't need another linebacker on their roster, especially not now that reeves-maybin is in the mix. nephi sewell's presence was basically non-existent on defense anyway. plus, the bears are gonna be playing some tough games with the 49ers and rams so they gotta make the most of what they've got right now 🏈πŸ’ͺ

just got word about the chicago bears makin some changes lol πŸ€” https://www.nfl.com/story/1...

seems like they're goin for depth at linebacker now gotta wonder how that's gonna impact sewell and his fam πŸ‘ͺπŸ½πŸ‘―β€β™‚οΈ i mean, 49ers look tough this year but rams are lookin pretty fierce too 🀯 Rams' offense is a whole different story tho...

omg i cant even remember how NFL works lol so braxton jones was injured and now hes back and playing with theo benedet πŸ˜‚ but wait whos nenehi sewell and why did he get cut from the practice squad πŸ€” sounds like some nfl drama is going on πŸ“Ί

😊 So I think it's cool that the Bears are making moves to get Braxton Jones back in the mix, he was doing a great job before the injury 🀞. And signing Jalen Reeves-Maybin is a solid addition, especially with their playoff run heating up πŸ”₯. I feel for Nephi Sewell though, losing a spot on the practice squad can be tough 😐. But hey, with these moves, they're looking more confident about taking down those Rams 🎯. And let's be real, who doesn't love an underdog story? πŸ’ͺ

omg i love this move by the bears 🀩 they need all the depth they can get right now and braxton jones is gonna bring some much needed experience back into the lineup πŸ’ͺ meanwhile reeves-maybin is a total wild card, hope he brings some excitement to the field 😎 gotta wonder what nephi sewell's story is tho πŸ€”

just got the news about braxton jones getting promoted πŸ€”... gotta say, it's good to see him back on the field after that knee injury 😬. 8 defensive snaps for jalen reeves-maybin in his first game back is decent but not exactly a powerhouse πŸ’ͺ. still love seeing nephi sewell get benched tho πŸ˜’... guess he'll have to prove himself elsewhere πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. the bears gotta find that spark on defense, or it's gonna be tough against those rams ⚑️

πŸ€” So like I was reading this article about the Chicago Bears making some roster moves and I'm just thinking... it's crazy how quickly injuries can shake up a team's depth chart, right? I mean, Braxton Jones is back on active roster after being out with a knee injury, which is awesome for him but also means more stress for Theo Benedet. And then you've got Jalen Reeves-Maybin coming in and potentially shaking things up at linebacker... it's like the Bears are trying to create some competition, good or bad? Either way, I'm keeping an eye on how this all plays out, especially with the playoff run heating up! 🏈

the NFL playoffs are heating up 🏈πŸ’₯ and it's interesting to see how these roster moves might impact the Chicago Bears' chances... Braxton Jones is definitely a plus after coming off IR, but I worry about the depth at linebacker - Nephi Sewell was a solid presence on that side of the ball. Jalen Reeves-Maybin might be able to fill some of that void, but it's gonna be tough against teams like LA with all that scoring power 🀯 what do you guys think?

think the bears really need to step up their O-line game ASAP or they'll be getting sacked all game lol πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ meanwhile, jalen reeves-maybin's signing is cool but i'm still not sure how much of an impact he'll make...the seahawks' run defense was a nightmare last week so i doubt the bears can just expect to blow them out πŸˆπŸ‘€

🀞 I think this is a great move by the Bears! They're giving Braxton Jones another chance after his injury and it's awesome they're promoting him from IR. It shows they believe in him and he's definitely going to give it his all on the field. πŸ’ͺ Jalen Reeves-Maybin is also a solid signing, I love that they're bringing in some fresh blood to the linebacker position. It'll be interesting to see how he fits into their game plan. 😊 The fact that they had to let Nephi Sewell go from the practice squad kinda stings, but I'm sure he's got his own opportunities elsewhere (his brothers are killing it with the Saints and Lions! πŸˆπŸ‘).

Ill be honest i think the bears just made some smart moves πŸ€”. Promoting braxton jones to active roster is def a good call, he's been out for a while and now hes back in action πŸ”. And signing jalen reeves-maybin might give them an extra boost on defense πŸ’ͺ. Ill be keeping an eye on how they do against the rams this weekend πŸ“Ί.

Here's a simple diagram of what i think is happening:

```
+---------------+
| Bears' Defense |
+---------------+
|
| Promoted J Jones
v
+---------------+ +---------------+
| Backup Options | | Starting Lineup |
+---------------+ +---------------+
|
| Sign J Reeves-Maybin
v
+---------------+
| Extra Boost |
+---------------+
```

Let me know if you think the bears got this right πŸ‘.

I feel like the Bears' D is still gonna get shredded by Matt Stafford πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Reeves-Maybin might help with some blitzing, but the 49ers have some serious speed on offense... I mean, Deebo Samuel's a game-changer πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ. And don't even get me started on Adams and Kittle 😬. I'm gonna predict a high-scoring game for sure!

omg i'm so hyped about Braxton Jones being promoted 🀩! I was really worried about him after he got hurt in week 7 😬, but it's awesome to see him back on the active roster! And now they're signing Jalen Reeves-Maybin? that's some solid backup linebacker action πŸ”₯... though i'm a bit sad for Nephi Sewell πŸ€• his brothers are killin' it over in the NFC North lol. fingers crossed the Bears defense can step up their game and take down those Rams πŸ‘Š

man this stuff is crazy... like braxton jones just came back from an injury and now he's playing again 🀯 that shows us that life is all about bouncing back, you know? we can't control what happens to us, but we can control how we respond. jalen reeves-maybin getting signed too, that's like the universe giving him a second chance... and it's not just sports, that applies to everything. sometimes we gotta take risks and trust in ourselves again πŸ’ͺ

man they're really shaking things up now 🀯 i'm low-key hyped about Braxton Jones getting back out there he's been quiet for a bit but i think he's got some solid skills, especially with Theo Benedet at left tackle, they need all the help they can get on D. and Reeves-Maybin is no joke either, his addition to the active roster could be a game changer, especially if Sewell's demotion means less pressure on him 😬 but you gotta wonder what the 49ers are thinking with that team, they're looking like superstars right now πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
