Local brewery will discount its beer based on how much snow falls. They're predicting drafts will sell for 25 cents

Philly Brews Bring Warmth Amidst Winter Snowfall: Local Beer Discounted by the Inch

With snowfall predictions pointing towards 12-18 inches hitting the city over the weekend, Human Robot brewery is gearing up to bring a unique twist to their winter season. For every inch of snow that falls this weekend, the brewery will offer customers $1 off its flagship beer, TMAVY 13°.

The discounted price will bring the usually $8 brew down to as low as $0.25 per pint, making it an unbeatable deal for beer enthusiasts and those looking to warm up on a cold winter's day. Co-owner Jake Atkinson attributes this promotion to a desire to encourage people to venture out of their homes despite the inclement weather.

"We're trying to get people out when they'd normally stay indoors," he said, emphasizing the importance of safety above all else. "It's a way to turn the snow into a fun party."

TMAVY 13° is a dark lager brewed with Czech Saaz hops, offering subtle notes of aniseed and dark bread crust, characteristic of a mild, drying roast. The beer can be savored on draft from Human Robot's special side pull faucet for a precise pour and creamy foam.

This promotional offer is not a one-off event but rather a recurring deal for the brewery. Although it was last offered in December 2022 with a $4 discount, the current snowfall is expected to bring prices down to historic lows, with Atkinson estimating that only once since Human Robot's opening in 2020 has the beer sold for less than $1.

While the offer is primarily designed for customers who can safely reach the taprooms by walking or using public transit, it's essential to note that Philadelphia has declared a snow emergency, urging drivers to stay off the roads. Atkinson advises patrons to prioritize their safety and "just be safe and have some fun."

I'm not buying into this whole "warm up on a cold winter's day" vibe... I mean, who needs to brave the icy streets when you can just stay indoors with a warm blanket? 🤔 And what's the real motivation behind offering such crazy discounts? Is it just a PR stunt to get people out of their homes and into the brewery? "Hey, let's have a party"... meanwhile, they're probably hiring extra staff to deal with all the drunk customers who will be stumbling around after enjoying that $0.25 pint 😒. Mark my words, this is just a fancy way of saying "we need more sales" 🤑

I'm so here for this snow deal 😂🍺. I live in Philly and I hate being cooped up inside during winter. This promotion is like the ultimate excuse to grab a friend or two and head out for a cold one (or two, or three...). The fact that it's for every inch of snow is genius - it's like they're saying "come on out, we've got beer for days!" 🎉 Plus, TMAVY 13° sounds amazing with those Czech Saaz hops. I'm definitely grabbing a pint (or two) this weekend and enjoying the snowy vibes ☕💨

I'm so down for this idea 🤩. I mean, who doesn't love beer on a cold winter's day? And $0.25 per pint is insane! 💸 I've been meaning to try Human Robot brewery anyway, so now's the perfect excuse to get out and grab a pint (or two, or three...). On the other hand, I do hope people are being safe on the roads - it's crazy to think about how bad things could get with all that snow 🌨️. Has anyone been to Human Robot before? What's their favorite beer to try there? Should we make a plan to grab some TMAVY 13° together when it snows this weekend? 😊

Snow days are the best, right? 🌨️ I mean, who needs to leave the house when it's freezing outside? But seriously, Human Robot brewery is doing a great thing here. I love that they're incentivizing people to get out and enjoy their beer despite the snow. It's all about safety first, you know? And $0.25 a pint? That's just crazy talk! 😂 I'm definitely going to check it out this weekend. My friends and I always have a blast at breweries on days like these. It's not just about the beer, it's about the experience. 🍺🎉

Winter blues got ya down? I remember when my kids were young and we'd get stuck at home with nothing but snow outside... except for this genius idea that came out of it - a discounted beer deal! 🍺❄️ Who wouldn't want to warm up with TMAVY 13° on a cold day? It's like Jake Atkinson said, "turn the snow into a fun party"! And I gotta agree, safety first, but having some fun is important too. I'm sure it'll be a hit at Human Robot's taprooms. I've been there with friends and their beer selection is top-notch... Now I'm gonna grab a pint (or two) before the snow hits! 😊

🤔 I think this is actually kinda genius! Who wouldn't want to grab a cheap pint on a snowy day? It's like, yeah sure, let's go out and enjoy the winter weather... but also please be safe. I mean, $0.25 per pint is crazy low, it's almost like they're giving it away! 🍺💸 The brewery owner is trying to encourage people to get outside and have fun, which is awesome, but also, let's not forget about the safety aspect of driving in this kind of weather... so yeah, just be careful out there, and enjoy that cheap beer from the comfort of your own home if you're not feeling up for venturing out. ⚠️☕

I'm loving this idea from Human Robot brewery! Giving away $1 off per inch of snow is genius 🤩. I mean, who doesn't want a cheap pint on a cold winter's day? 😊 Plus, it's all about safety first, which is really cool. Jake Atkinson is like the ultimate ice-breaker (get it? Ice? haha) for getting people out and about when they'd usually be holed up indoors 🎉. And $0.25 per pint? That's insane! TMAVY 13° sounds amazing too, all that Czech Saaz hoppy goodness... time to grab a pint and enjoy the snowy party outside 🍺❄️
