Removing US as World Cup host would be eminently sad – and entirely justified | Alexander Abnos

🤔 the US isn't exactly in the best shape right now to host a massive global event 🚨 ticket prices are already sky-high for local fans, and cities are getting strained by the costs 🤑 plus there's all this violence and unrest going on that's just not good vibes 🌪️ it's cool that ppl are considering boycotting or moving it elsewhere 🔄 cuz if the US can't host with integrity then maybe some other country should take the reins 👊

omg u guys i just read this article about the US hosting the 2026 world cup and i'm low-key surprised it's still happening 🤯 like, we all know our country is in a mess right now with gun violence & police brutality but i guess soccer wins out 🏀👊 i mean, i love soccer too but come on, can't we prioritize our citizens' safety & well-being over some sports event? 🤔 i feel like it's so easy to get caught up in the hype of the tournament but we gotta be real about what's really going on here. and btw have u seen those prices for tickets?! 😱 it's like they're sucking all the money outta the pockets of regular folks just so big corporations can make a profit 🤑 i don't know, maybe it's time for us to take a step back & reevaluate what we value more: national pride or human rights? 🤝

I'm telling you, hosting the World Cup in the US right now is like trying to put a band-aid on a bullet wound 🤕. The country's problems run too deep and are just too visible. I mean, have you seen the state of prisons lately? It's like they're more interested in locking up people than solving actual crimes 😒. And don't even get me started on the environment – all that energy being sucked out to host one event is just crazy 💨.

And let's be real, if we can't even trust our own government to handle its own problems, how are we supposed to expect them to host a global tournament without any issues? 🤷‍♂️ It's like trying to put lipstick on a pig – it might look pretty at first, but eventually, the cracks just start showing through.

I'm not saying we should boycott or anything, but maybe we need to think outside the box (or in this case, the stadium). Like, what if they actually used some of that money to fix our infrastructure and tackle some of these real problems? That'd be something 🤑. Until then, I'll just stick to my fantasy league and let others worry about hosting the World Cup 🏆

I'm not sure about this whole US thing tho 🤔, but seriously, the World Cup is like, so much bigger than just football ⚽️, you know? It's all about bringing people together and celebrating our differences 💖. But I get it, with all the drama going on in the country right now, it's hard to justify hosting a big event that might be seen as, well, not exactly the best representation of what we're all about 🤷‍♀️. And let's be real, ticket prices are like, insane 💸! I mean, who can afford to go to a World Cup match without breaking the bank? Not me, that's for sure 😂. But seriously, maybe it's time for FIFA to think outside the box and find a new host country that's all about unity and love ❤️. We could be like, the ultimate example of what happens when we come together in peace and harmony 🌎!

omg u feel me?? hosting the world cup would literally b a total nightmare 🤯 w/ all da drama & tensions in the us rn... it's not about national pride or econ gain, it's about human rights & peace 🌎 safety 1st, ppl! like seriously can we just boycot it or move it 2 another country? i dunno but u gotta prioritize what matters most. & btw even if trump himself is sayin moves b4 relocatin the whole shebang, idc lol... as a fan, u wnt to see ur teams play, but not if it means compromise on values 🤷‍♀️
