I'm really disappointed in the state of our subway system

. I mean, can't we afford to fix things properly? It's not like it's rocket science or anything. The fact that they're fencing off half the platform because of accessibility issues is just ridiculous. What's next, leaving people stranded on the side of the tracks?

And don't even get me started on the lack of transparency from the MTA. If they're saying repairs are gonna be done by the end of March, that's a pretty vague timeline for anyone who doesn't work at the agency

. I mean, what about when it rains or snows? Are we just gonna have to wait around all day until everything is fixed?
It's not like this is some new issue or anything. Accessibility has been a problem in Rockaway for years, and it's high time someone did something about it

. The community is fed up, and I don't blame them one bit

. Maybe the MTA should take a cue from the lawmaking folks and get their act together
