Rockaway pols blast MTA over sorry state of end-of-line subway station

ugh its like 2005 all over again remember those days when the subway was still getting fixed up after 9/11? i feel bad for the elderly and disabled folks having to navigate this broken system they deserve so much better why do they have to walk around train cars to get off? 🚂😡 and 5% full-length trains that sound like a load of mta BS to me anyway, just hope those lawmakers can get some real action done on the repairs by march or else we'll be stuck in this mess forever 🤦‍♀️👎

🚫💔 ugh this is just ridiculous! like 5% of trains are full-length? are they kidding me?! i've been on that train and it was packed! how can you expect ppl to plan their day around uncertainty when the platform is basically unusable for people with disabilities? 🤯 it's not just about accessibility, its about basic human decency. we need clear updates on the status of these repairs ASAP. 3 months in march?! thats not a timeline, thats a joke. 💸

I'm really disappointed in the state of our subway system 🤕. I mean, can't we afford to fix things properly? It's not like it's rocket science or anything. The fact that they're fencing off half the platform because of accessibility issues is just ridiculous. What's next, leaving people stranded on the side of the tracks? 🚂😱

And don't even get me started on the lack of transparency from the MTA. If they're saying repairs are gonna be done by the end of March, that's a pretty vague timeline for anyone who doesn't work at the agency 😒. I mean, what about when it rains or snows? Are we just gonna have to wait around all day until everything is fixed? 🤦‍♀️

It's not like this is some new issue or anything. Accessibility has been a problem in Rockaway for years, and it's high time someone did something about it 💪. The community is fed up, and I don't blame them one bit 👊. Maybe the MTA should take a cue from the lawmaking folks and get their act together 📝.
