The surprising science of dreams and nightmares – podcast

so they're saying our brains rehash traumatic events while we sleep and turn them into super messed up dreams 🤯 thats kinda wild. but what if there's more to it? like, do we ever really forget stuff or is our brain just not telling us the truth? 🤔 also, why do nightmares always have to be so graphic and real? can't our brains just be all 'oh yeah, you had a bad day, here's a cute puppy' instead of making us relive that anxiety fest 😴

ugh I'm getting chills just thinking about all those fragmented thoughts and emotions swirling around in your brain while you're trying to sleep 😱 it's crazy how your brain tries to process everything, but sometimes it just ends up creating these super scary scenarios 🤯 like, can you imagine reliving a traumatic experience over and over again just because your brain is trying to make sense of it? 🤕 it's no wonder we all have those bad dreams where we're running from something or someone and can't escape 💔 I feel for people who have been through trauma, knowing that their brain might replay those emotions during sleep is just really tough to process 😓
