so they're saying our brains rehash traumatic events while we sleep and turn them into super messed up dreams thats kinda wild. but what if there's more to it? like, do we ever really forget stuff or is our brain just not telling us the truth? also, why do nightmares always have to be so graphic and real? can't our brains just be all 'oh yeah, you had a bad day, here's a cute puppy' instead of making us relive that anxiety fest
ugh I'm getting chills just thinking about all those fragmented thoughts and emotions swirling around in your brain while you're trying to sleep it's crazy how your brain tries to process everything, but sometimes it just ends up creating these super scary scenarios like, can you imagine reliving a traumatic experience over and over again just because your brain is trying to make sense of it? it's no wonder we all have those bad dreams where we're running from something or someone and can't escape I feel for people who have been through trauma, knowing that their brain might replay those emotions during sleep is just really tough to process
