Austrian Supermarket's Budget-Friendly Stain Remover Takes Top Spot in Consumer Test.

Aldi Di-San Pro Ultra Degreaser With Enzymes has taken the top spot in Choice's recent stain remover test, beating out more expensive brands like Sard and Coles. This affordable option, which retails for 28 cents per 100ml or $2.09 a bottle, scored an impressive 78% overall.

In the pre-treater spray category, Aldi's product was neck and neck with Sard Super Power Stain Remover Toughest Stains, both achieving a score of 78%. However, Sard came out on top in certain tests, such as removing blood stains.

The Sard spray, which costs $8 a bottle or $1.90 for 100ml, offered better results in some tests but also carried a higher price tag. Choice senior product officer Chris Barnes stated that consumers on a budget have little reason to justify spending more on the pricier Sard spray when an Aldi option is available at a fraction of the cost.

Supermarket sprays were among the top-performing products in the test, with Aldi's Di-San Pro Oxy With Enzymes coming in third and Coles Ultra Pre-wash Stain Remover and Woolworths Clean Ultimate Oil & Grime With Enzymes Pre-wash Stain Remover also scoring well.
